Letter Of Demand

A letter of demand usually involves the non-payment of a debt between two or more parties.  The letter of demand will usually be sent prior to initiating more formal legal action, and will outline the details of money the sender believes is owed to them under some agreement or for the sale of some product or provision of services.

As a general guide, the letter of demand will outline the amounts owed, the product/service supplied (if applicable), a time frame for paying the debt, and formal advice that further proceedings may be commenced in the event the debt is not paid.

Prior to sending a letter of demand it is very important that you seek legal advice from CLO Lawyers to ensure your actions are appropriate under the circumstances and that the letter is prepared according to the law and established legal principles.
